Keith Jarrett will play two solo concerts at the Bunkamura Orchard Hall in Tokyo on May 28, 2011 and May 29, 2011. Tickets will be available from Koinuma Music. They should go on sale sometime between January 11 and January 31 (if someone could confirm, it would be greatly appreciated!).

Thanks to Masako for the information!

Just trying to get an answer as to whether Keith Jarrett is still playing in Tokyo in May 2011?  I have been lucky enough to secure a ticket and have organised travel from Australia - this is a big thing, as I have been a big fan for several decades, but I can't seem to get a definitive answer anywhere.  Perhaps I am asking too early??  Any info would be appreciated.

I've just sent an email to Keith Jarrett's agent. I'll post the answer here.

Here's the answer I got:

"The situation in Japan and Tokyo is still not stable, so we cannot say 100% that the concerts will not need to canceled, if conditions worsen.

But as of now the concerts are scheduled to happen.

So in one month, we will see what the situation is in Tokyo and decide if there is a need to postpone or cancel the concerts, which I do not think will happen."
