Hello everyone,

I finally decide to write this message after many hesitations. Hoping it will be read.

Succinctly. My name is François Mardirossian and I am a French pianist.I live in Montpellier and lead a contemporary music festival in Lyon.

I am a Keith Jarrett fan for several years (as I imagine several million people in this world) and on July 4th I had the chance, the pleasure - but also the heavy task - to play his famous Köln Concert in its entirety in front of the Lyon audience of my festival.  It was a beautiful event, a great moment in my life as a pianist. This musical approach made me ask myself many questions as a performer. Replaying this improvisation poses many problems but the score also exists I followed the advice of Keith Jarrett himself: choose between inaccuracies and refer to the recording in the last place. (I am attaching a small photo of this concert)

I come to the reason for this message so as not to write a novel either.
I have been searching for several months (even years) for the way to get the score of Ritual, the work for solo piano composed by Keith Jarrett and played by Dennis Russell Davies on a beautiful 1977 recording by ECM. I know that pianist Maki Namekawa was supposed to play this piece in Paris in the next few days but the concert was obviously cancelled for reasons we know... and I was not able to get in touch with her. I am trying by all reasonable means to get in touch with Keith Jarrett himself to ask him but the mission is not easy.

So I am writing to you for a little help with this quest. I imagine that this type of request does not come every day in your mailbox... This work fascinates me and I really want to play it in concert alongside other pieces by Keith Jarrett and other composers of today.

This message is like a bottle in the sea. So any leads that can help me get this score will be welcome! I imagine that Mr. Jarrett has his reasons for not publishing it but perhaps he will be sensitive to my request.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message.

Very cordially Laugh
